Typegate uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies to run the Service,
and – on typegate.ch only, and only if you agree – one analytics tool,
Microsoft Clarity, to understand how visitors use the site. We do not use advertising
cookies, and we do not allow any other third party to set tracking cookies through our sites.
| Cookie | Purpose | Scope | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
tg_session |
Strictly necessary. Keeps you signed in to your Typegate account. Contains
only a random session identifier - no personal data. Set with modern security attributes
(including HttpOnly and Secure). |
.typegate.ch (shared between the landing site and the dashboard so you stay
signed in across both) |
30 days, or until you log out |
CF_Authorization |
Strictly necessary. Set by our single sign-on provider on the staff dashboard only, to authenticate Typegate staff. Never set for regular visitors or customers. | Staff dashboard only | Session-based, controlled by our single sign-on provider |
tg_cookie_consent |
Strictly necessary. Not actually a cookie - stored in your browser's
localStorage - and records whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies,
so we don't ask again on every visit. |
typegate.ch |
Until you clear your browser storage or change your choice |
_clck, _clsk, CLID, ANONCHK,
MUID, MR, SM |
Analytics - optional. Set by Microsoft Clarity to recognise repeat visits,
group pages viewed in one session, and record clicks, scrolling and page interactions
(session recordings and heatmaps) so we can see how the landing page is actually used. Only
set on typegate.ch. In the EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland, only after you accept in
the cookie banner; elsewhere it may be set without a prior banner, and you can still reject
it at any time via "Cookie preferences". |
typegate.ch and clarity.ms/bing.com (Microsoft, as the
analytics provider) |
Ranges from session-length to 1 year, depending on the cookie - see Microsoft's Clarity cookie list |
If you visit typegate.ch from the EU/EEA, the UK or Switzerland, a banner asks
whether you accept analytics cookies before anything loads: Microsoft Clarity only starts if you
click Accept. If you click Reject, or take no action, Clarity never
loads and no analytics cookies are set. We determine this from your connection's country as resolved
by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) - no separate tracking or fingerprinting is used to make this
determination.
Outside those jurisdictions, prior consent for this kind of analytics is not legally required, so Clarity may load without first showing the banner. Wherever you are, you can accept, reject or change your choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer - rejecting there stops Clarity even if it had already loaded.
fonts.typegate.ch) sets no cookies at all – pages embedding a
Typegate trial font do not expose their visitors to any Typegate cookie, and Clarity does not
run there. Trial-font load counts are recorded server-side as aggregate, cookieless daily
counters per embedding domain. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time, and can withdraw analytics
consent using the "Cookie preferences" footer link, which reloads the page so Clarity stops
running. Blocking the tg_session cookie will prevent you from staying signed in to the
dashboard; the marketing site works without any cookies at all if you reject analytics.
If we introduce further non-essential cookies, we will update this policy first and ask for consent where the law requires it.
